Questions, answered
How do I find a Majlis near me?
Open azadari.media/events/near-me and allow location. Azadari Events lists upcoming Majalis, Juloos and Mehfils around you, with the distance, start time and Google Maps directions. You can also browse by city or by occasion, such as Muharram, Ashura or Arbaeen.
How do I list my Imambargah's Majlis online?
Go to azadari.media/event/new, sign in with Google or email, and fill in one form: title, date and time, venue on the map, speakers, nauha khwans and a poster. When you publish, the Majlis gets its own public page and a short link you can share on WhatsApp.
Is Azadari Events free?
Yes. Listing and browsing events is free, for organizers and attendees alike.
Do I need an account?
No account is needed to browse events. You only need to sign in, with Google or email, to list an event, so every listing has an accountable owner who can edit it later.
Will my Majlis show up on Google?
Every event page is server-rendered and carries schema.org Event structured data (date, venue, geo-coordinates, organizer and performers), which is what Google uses for event search results. Pages are also listed in the azadari.media sitemap.
Can I list a Juloos, Mehfil, Milad or online Majlis?
Yes. Supported event types are Majlis, Juloos (procession), Mehfil, Milad, Quran Khwani, Niaz / Langar and Online Majlis. Online events can include a YouTube or Facebook live-stream link.
Can I list a full Ashra (10 nights) of Muharram?
Yes. Mark the event as nightly and add the night-by-night programme, including the speaker for each night, so attendees see the whole Ashra on one page.
Which countries and cities are supported?
Any country and city. You pick the venue on an OpenStreetMap map, and events are grouped into city pages automatically, for example Lucknow, Karachi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, London or Toronto.
How are listings moderated?
Listings go live straight away and are reviewed by the Azadari Media team afterwards. Anyone can report an event, and the team can hide incorrect or inappropriate listings.
Who runs Azadari Events?
Azadari Events is part of Azadari Media (azadari.media), the nauha and Azadari audio platform that also runs Nauha Diary (nauhadiary.com). Events are hosted on azadari.media/events and also appear in the Azadari Media Android app.
